I love Pumpkins.
In the soup, in a pie. Yum.

Besides tasting delicious, it doesn’t hurt that pumpkins are great to use as fall decorations around your home.  And to top it off, you can DIY with them!

Obviously, you can carve your pumpkins, but let me say just one word:

Glitter.

Yes, glitter can be messy, but it’s fun. And your pumpkins will end up looking so chic and glamorous!

These no-carve glitter pumpkins are quick and easy to make and perfect for your Halloween, fall, and Thanksgiving decor.

Real pumpkins can be used instead of faux pumpkins, but you won’t be able to decorate with them next fall. Directions are the same for real or artificial pumpkins.

TIP: Put something on your workspace like aluminum foil or a newspaper. Glitter tends to go everywhere when you work with it.

Having something that you can easily remove and throw away will make clean up so much easier!

DIY Glitter Drip Pumpkins

An easy and fun craft project that will leave you with chic and glamorous glitter pumpkins for your fall decor!

Instructions

  1. Paint the mini pumpkins with 1-2 coats black acrylic paint. Don’t forget about the stems. Let them dry thoroughly.Work in progress. Painting the pumpkins to make chic and glamorous glitter pumpkins. Quick and easy! thatcraftsite.com
  2. Next, pour Mod Podge on top. Move it all around the bottom of the stem. Slowly add more so it starts to drip over the ribs of the pumpkin.   3. And now for the part we’ve all been waiting for. Glitter! Let's add some sparkle. While the Mod Podge is still wet, generously sprinkle glitter all over.Work in Progress. Painted pumpkins sprinkled with gold glitter. Fun! thatcraftsite.com
  4. Finally, when the Mod Podge has dried, gently shake off any excess glitter. Use a small brush to wipe away glitter around the drips. Catch the excess glitter in a bowl to be reused. Tip: The glitter might shed a little over time. You can use something like a Mod Podge spray sealer or any other clear spray sealant to prevent the glitter from flaking.
